The Opera House in Copenhagen is like a rock at sea. Enormous, like an exclamationpoint in the suroundings but at the same time part of the same storey. The Opera House is built on an island between waters, the stone walls have the same color as a rock – or the bricks in the neighbouring industrial port plants that houses familys nowdays. The industrial heritage is present also in the siluette of the old port crane and the red painted wooden barns converted into modern office buildings with spectacular sea view.

To get to the Copenhagen Opera House: Walk from central station over the bridge to Christianhavn and further on north to Holmen. It will take you about one hour . Or you can easy take the yellow seabuss from among other places Nyhavn and next stop north is right on target.
